The EX11 Series was developed to provide a high precision, low cost enclosed shaft encoder for light duty appliciations. The EX11 offers benefits of the Opto-ASIC desgin with 1024 line counts in a 1.1 inch diameter size.
Packaged in a glass filled polycarbonate housing with 1/8" stainless steel shaft and precision bearings, the EX11 provides superior performance at a lower cost.
The EX11 Series is capable of operating over a temperature range of 0°C to +70°C without degradation of signals.

Ideally suited for integration into motors or other tight packaging constraints, the BEI Duncan MOD 700 Series introduces a highly miniaturized rotary incremental encoder that accommodates a broad range of standard code disk resolutions and diameters.
The MOD 700 incorporates BEI's proven Opto-ASIC technology- a phased array photo diode IC noted for its high tolerance for axial movement, low power consumption and high operating temperature range- into a highly miniaturized lead-frame caliper desgin, offering resolutions up to 2540 PPR (Pulse Per Revolution). Weighing only 25 grams, the unit
includes integral surface mount pads for SMT installation onto PCBs or flexible circuitry. Two integrally molded orientation posts assure correct alignment onto PCB circuitry.

The PM Series Panel Mount Encoder was developed to provide control manually. It is interchangeable with standard potentiometer type panel mounting, yet provides direct digital accuracy without A/D conversion and has an exponentially longer life expectancy.
The new BEI Panel Encoder is designed for applications where position control and analog to digital conversions requre manual knob control. Standard output includes TTL quardrature with resolution up to 256. For zero referencing, an optional index is available.
Hybrid technology aids in reliable operation over a standard temperature range of 0° to 70°C. High reliability and accurate position control are possible by using non-contacting elements, including a slotted metal disc placed between a collimated infrared LED source and a common substrate sensor array. A strain relief is provided for securing
of lead terminations.
